It is advisable to examine the breast yourself once a month * to determine any differences.
The first half of the cycle is best suited here , so that changes can be felt more clearly.
The examination for palpating the breast at the gynecologist is voluntary and free of charge at any time. From the age of 30, women can go to the gynecologist once a year to have their breasts, armpits and areas around the collarbone examined. Between the ages of 50 and 69 , you will be invited for a mammography screening every two years ,(a special X-ray examination for early detection) which is covered by health insurance. Apart from that, every woman is entitled to a mammography screening , after consultation with the gynecologist in order to gain more clarity
